Here’s How Salma Hayek is Rocking Her Fierce, Fit, and Fabulous Fifties!

Salma Hayek never fails to stun us with her glamorous and gorgeous avatars, whether it is on the screen or off of it. With glowing skin, luscious locks, and her bikini-ready body, she is changing the way Hollywood looks at aging. She keeps on sharing her makeup-free face and her fit body on Instagram. We would certainly like to know, what is her fountain of youth secrets? Well, if you are thinking she only resorts to complicated and expensive treatments to look the way she does, you are wrong. The secret to her fit and fabulous self is that she keeps it simple. Salma has been gracious enough to let us know her beauty and fitness secrets. Here it goes,

A Juice Over a Pizza Anyday

Salma Hayek loves juice cleanses so much that she even started her own company, Cooler Cleanse. Like many, whenever she is stressed, she turns to food for comfort. While most of us would eat pizza she believes in indulging in juices. As she starts doing a juice cleanse, she becomes motivated to eat healthier. Cleansing is in fact like meditation to her. It changes the way she thinks about what she is doing and what she is putting into her body. It is her way of pressing the reset button.

Dieting Is Not For Her

She admits that she has never been too good at dieting. In fact, she shares a love-hate relationship with food. She also admits that her weakness has been food. In fact, if she is in France, it would take a lot out of her to diet in the real sense of the term as it is very hard for her to resist good food and wine.

She is All for Meatless Mondays and Even Tuesdays

Salma is not one to eat animals every day. It's not that she isn't a meat-eater, but she eats it sparingly. She'll never eat meat twice a day. Sometimes she follows the vegetarian route and then goes back to eating meat - what we feel is she follows a flexitarian approach. She relies on fruits and veggies to keep her fresh and healthy. In fact, a look at her breakfast will give you an idea about how she loves her fruits and includes everything. Her list includes a lot of these, namely: papaya, blueberries, mango, strawberries, celery, pomegranate seeds, red pepper, cucumber, almond, coconut butter, and yogurt. The food indeed plays a major role in making very mean one of the most delicious ones ever.

She Isn't Big on Exercise

Unlike other celebrities, Salma does not force herself to exercise. Many people can force themselves to exercise in the morning, however, she has found other ways to keep her muscles working. A woman taught her the tricks to keep her muscles working all day. So, even if she is brushing her teeth, she is working on her muscles. It is known as restorative yoga, and you can work on your muscles without having to clench them. You work on them and relax them, but you never do it with tension. She says, if you know your body you'll be able to use your muscles with good effect.

Movement is the Key

However, when she does work out, she ensures she has a whole lot of fun. She does not like to go for intensive workouts but she loves to dance. She also shows her groovy moves on the treadmill. She also walks her dog, this is her way of getting in some nature time and spending some quality time with her furry friends. In fact, she calls her pets her trainers. Thanks to them, she gets her movement and her workout daily. After all, why not, fitness is all about incorporating fun aspects to your workout as the only way you can keep it sustainable in the long run.

She also relies on massages to give her lymphatic system a boost. She never stops praising the many beneficial aspects of a massage and how it gives her face and body a quick pick-me-up. Looking at her lifestyle hacks, one can say that is very easy to follow and if we can stick to fitness making an integral part of our lives, we are pretty much good to go, right?
