You will get all the information you need to know about the Halo TV series from the release date to the cast, storyline, and where can you stream the show here. Just head below.
Release Date
The first season of the show consists of nine episodes, each an hour long. After the pilot launches on March 24, all the following episodes will be aired on a weekly basis.
Where Can You Watch the Halo TV Series?
Halo TV show will be exclusively aired on Paramount Plus from March 24. This is the only platform where you can watch this show, which means that if your country does not have access to Paramount Plus, you will not be able to watch it at the time of launch.
However, if you reside in the UK, you will also be unable to watch but for a short time as it is, Sky will be adding Paramount Plus with no extra cost. Sky Cinema and Sky Q subscribers will soon be able to watch the show.
The Cast
The most important part of any television series is its cast, more so when it comes to the Halo TV series. Everyone is curious to find out who is going to play the role of Master Chief, Cortana, or The Arbiter. The Master Chief is played by none other than Pablo Schreiber, who is the hero of both the film series and the game series. Jen Taylor, who lent her voice to the highly intelligent AI partner of Master Chief, Cortana, is playing the same character in the live-action series too. Dr. Catherine Halsey, the antagonistic character, is played by Natascha McElhone, who became a household name after starring in Californication. Olive Gray plays the character of her on-screen daughter, Dr. Miranda Keyes. Another important character, Captain Jacob Keyes, is played by Danny Sapani.
The Trailer
It wasn’t until November that the first teaser was released even though the show was announced in March 2021. The reveal was very private, and so was the next trailer that debuted the following month. It was in January 2022 that we finally got an idea of what to expect from the series.
The Story of the Halo TV series
The series is about the intergalactic war between humanity and the Covenant, a fierce fundamentalist religious sect of aliens who worships Forerunners, an ancient civilization. Adding more Spartans to the cast means that there will be more human stories added to the series’ main plot.
One thing to take into account is that this adaptation does not stick to the rules made in the games. The executive producer tweeted in December, “We’re referring to this as the Halo Silver Timeline as a way of differentiating it from core canon.” Since there are a lot of characters that are both in the video game and the TV show, we can say that there is some overlapping between the two.
Writer, Producer, and Director of the TV series
One infamous feature of the TV series is the number of times it has changed hands during the course of the year. Originally, Paramount was not even the studio of the series. One of the people who remained with the TV series during its journey was the director, Steven Spielberg, along with his production company, Amblin Entertainment. To this date, it is still unknown how much influence Steven has had, but his constant determination throughout the making of the series shows how much he wished to get this show made.
Clearly, you now know all the information about the Halo TV series and would have also marked the release date on your calendar if you are a Halo head.
